During the two-day sales prioritization event, held over the weekend, Amara's phase1 was already 50 percent sold, CHI reported.
Taking a similar turn as the first phase of seaside residential development, Amara, Phase 2 ignited an enthusiastic response from the market upon its launch over the weekend.
Ayala Land affiliate CHI, in partnership with CHVI, is developing Amara, a 46-hectare seaside residential community located in Barangay Catarman, Liloan. One of the few lighthouse communities in the world, Amara broke sales records during the launch of its first phase in October last year.
The project's Phase 2 sits on 6.8 hectares and consists of 87 lots, which include bluff, premium seaview, promontory and parola lots.
To help promote a relaxed and healthy lifestyle among its residents, Phase 2 will feature a Sports and Recreation Club with a basketball court, badminton courts, a fitness gym and a beach volleyball court. Also in Phase 2 is a Serenity Park with gazebos and a lagoon ideal for alternative lifestyle options such as yoga, taichi and other meditation and relaxation exercises.
Phase 2 is adjacent to the century-old Bagacay lighthouse, which is operated by the Philippine Coastguard and was recently named a national historical landmark last month.
Also currently undergoing construction at Amara is the 7,200 square meter main clubhouse at Phase 1, which incorporates the natural character of the landscape.
This structure will house function rooms, an infinity pool with beach bar and a kiddie pool. Development works at Phase 1, including the completion of the main access road, road tracing and the installation of utility lines, is also being fast-tracked to allow lotowners to build by 2007.
Amara seaside village is the first upscale seaside residential development in the country, joining about only two dozens first-class seaside subdivisions (so far) being developed in the world, said CHI president Jose Rene D. Almendras.
Amara is the second high-end residential development project in Cebu of Ayala Group, next to the Ayala Heights subdivision situated at the mountaintop of Cebu in Busay.
The introduction of Amara residential project to Cebu provides another facility that would become the "home of the millionaires" along the shore.
