Adtel signs up for Telecomex Asia 2002

Adtel Inc., a member of the Lopez group of companies, has again confirmed its participation in the largest and most established telecommunications, broadcasting and networking event in the Philippines.

Dubbed "Telecomex Asia 2002," this 7th show series will be held simultaneously with Asia Mobilecomm Asia 2002, Asia Broadcast 2002, Asia Cable & Satellite 2002, Asia Pro-Audio 2002 and Asia Networking 2002, on May 15-18, 2002 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.

Adtel represents foreign principals engaged in providing diverse communications hardware and software technologies.

Recently, Adtel generated sales for Digidesign, maker of ProTools Digital Audio Workstation.

The ProTools system by Digidesign has become the industry standard for audio professionals who produce music, multimedia, radio and film.

Adtel also established a two-way video transport system over the fiber optic network linking ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. and SkyCable.

The DV6400 Multichannel Transport System by ADC, supplied and installed by Adtel, is an uncompressed system and transmits the entire video signal intact, improving signal transmission.

Adtel has supplied ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. with three new video server systems or media platforms. These profile XP Video server systems are now operational and being used by ABS-CBN’s UHF Channel Studio 23 and MYX Music Channel.

These systems allow commercials to be aired separately in various regions, known in the industry as "dechaining" or "decoupling." The software was designed by US-based Grass Valley Group.

Adtel also built the IRRI high-speed information network, with support from 3M Phils., Eupen Cable and JCE Building.

Adtel installed a full-fiber optic network called 3M Volition Network Solution using a 16-KM cable from Eupen, creating a fiber optic backbone in the IRRI campus in Laguna.

Adtel has always been a staunch supporter of the Telecomex Asia series since 1994.

In last year’s show series, Reggie Casas Adtel’s general manager, said, "Adtel’s core competence is to represent the interests of foreign principals engaged in communication and broadcasting technology... Telecomex fits the business portfolios of Adtel as it caters to key customers principally engaged in public utilities,"

He added: "Telecomex is an optimum alternative to be visible to the public eye... Overall, it is the best avenue to attain the rate of visibility needed by the company."
