MANILA, Philippines - From the basic single-function printer to the multi-functional wireless printers, Canon recently unveiled the latest models of its ever-growing range of PIXMA printers.
The world leader in digital imaging and the number one inkjet printer brand in the Philippines from 2011 to 2013 introduces seven new printers that are ideal for home and business use: PIXMA iP2870, MX477, MG5570, iX6770, iP8770, and Ink Efficient E400 and E560.
“Canon PIXMA printers cater to everyone according to their printing needs and budget. Backed with careful research and exceptional design engineering, PIXMA printers will continue to evolve to delight all our customers while staying true to the PIXMA legacy — ease of use, quality and efficiency,†said Bong Serevo, Consumer Systems Products Division head and vice president of Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc.
Going back to basics, PIXMA offers a new affordable single-function printer — the PIXMA iP2870. It has all the basic necessities for everyday use with a maximum resolution of 4800 dpi.
New to the lineup of PIXMA imaging solutions, the E400 and E560 further strengthen the Ink Efficient line, equipped with functions to combine superb print quality and highly affordable cost of operation.
Ideal for students and budget-conscious users, these printers are compatible with new high-yield ink cartridges and also offer reduced printing costs compared with conventional laser printers.
The PIXMA E560 can print up to 800 monochrome documents on a black cartridge and up to 300 pages for color documents. Meanwhile, the E400, the most affordable model in the PIXMA Ink Efficient lineup, can print up to 400 monochrome documents and up to 300 pages in color.
Adding even smarter functionality to its PIXMA collection, Canon also has its maximum-productivity and high-workflow solutions, the E560 and MG5570. These printers enable mobile printing in which users can print or scan documents and photos using their iOS- or Android-powered smartphones, iPad, tablets, or any mobile device when paired with the new Canon PIXMA Printing Solutions app.
Cloud-aware devices, the E560 and MG5570 deliver true print-from-anywhere mobility when paired with the Google Cloud Print service. Users can now print even when out of the office through the Gmail or Google Docs interface on a mobile device, or from the Google Chrome Web browser on PCs and laptops running on Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Chrome operating systems.
Equipped with All-in-One print-copy-scan-fax solutions, the PIXMA MX477 simplifies printing capabilities at the office and businesses. Suitable for business needs and the most affordable office all-in-one printer, the MX477 promises enhanced productivity in the home or office with its range of wireless and cloud printing features — PIXMA Cloud Link, Google Cloud Print, PIXMA Printing Solutions App, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
It also comes with integrated automatic document feeders that can perform hands-free automatic scanning and copying for up to 30 sheets of document originals.
A great option for those seeking fine-quality photos or documents, the new PIXMA series also has the MG5570, iX6770, and iP8770. With at least five individual inks, the printers are able to produce beautiful prints and photos perfect for business posters or home galleries. PIXMA iX6770 and iP8770 take printing a notch higher with their capability of printing up to A3+ size.
Among the three, PIXMA iP8770 provides the full experience with its six individual inks and Wi-Fi connectivity. The six-ink printers come with Gray Ink in addition to the standard Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Photo Black set. The Gray Ink ensures quality and consistency of monochrome prints, provides a stable Gray balance, and reduces graininess in lighter areas of images.
Wireless connectivity support and cloud printing features on the iP8770 and MG5570 make them ideal companions for modern wireless-enabled home environments, even more so for design agencies where printing resources are often shared among several users.
