Dell's end-to-end solutions target SMBs

MANILA, Philippines - Entrepreneurs from small and medium businesses (SMBs) assembled recently at the InterContinental Hotel ballroom for a day of sharing experiences, discussing best policies and learning more about delivering secure, manageable Dell solutions to provide their respective entities with the agility to grow and thrive.

“Dell offers end-user solutions to enterprise solutions specific to the business challenges and needs of SMBs as well as small and medium enterprises. The Philippine economic growth rose above projected expectations fueled by the activities in the SMB space,” said Dell country manager Christopher Papa.

“And despite the differences in the buying behavior of the market, Dell’s business growth grew with the business sector, with a 20-30 percent quarter-to-quarter upswing. Among many other things, Dell can manage inventory and our solutions for financial and accounting systems can easily monitor daily fiscal movements,” Papa added.

Simply dubbed “Dell Solutions Day: Enabling you to do more,” the daylong conference explored new levels of innovation, flexibility and agility from devices to data centers and beyond.

Attendees learned how to provide the ultimate customer experience with Dell end-user devices, enterprise solutions, software, peripherals, and related services.

“Mobile networking has come a long way. As such, we make sure that the IT infrastructure is provided our clients. Data explosion is happening but much of it is unstructured. For our part, we structure that data and turn it to profitability. We also created back-up and disaster recovery systems so all-important files are secure. It’s an overall IT efficiency and how it leverages businesses to expand and grow,” said Sumir Bhatia, Dell regional director for enterprise solutions for South Asia.

“The cloud is a journey and one size does not fit all. Cloud computing brings efficiency but there’s a journey going to it. How organizations virtualize their respective environments say much about how it is going to be used. Challenges have different magnitudes for each and every undertaking,” Bhatia added.

It was an informative event where attendees where shown how to capture the benefits of best-in-breed, end-to-end solutions by Dell.

At the close of the conference, entrepreneurs got apprised on how to reduce energy costs, simplify management of users including data and applications, improve security as well as privacy and compliance, provisions for pervasive access to data, were enabled as end-users to do more without compromise, and how to build a next-generation IT infrastructure without sacrificing existing investments.

“There are different desktop solutions applicable for each end-user. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution, it’s a case-to-case basis. We have enablement programs to train partners to ensure that they provide the right fit for consumers. Southeast Asia is a key focus market and exports are happening all across the region,” said Johnny Dermawan, Dell senior brand manager for client product solutions marketing in South Asia.

“Starting in 2007, Dell started acquiring companies to grow our infrastructure in an organic way (new servers) and inorganic ways (like enhancing data solutions with Sonic Wall) and our acquisition of Wyse pushes the envelope further,” Dermawan added.

In summation, Dell offered worry-free business security to entrepreneurs through safe, smarter and simplified solutions. Now, businesses can protect their hardware and software with the top-ranked solutions designed to fit each and every need.

Powered by Trend Micro Smart Protection Network, business owners will never have to worry about viruses, identity thieves or Web threats again. They will discover a working approach to security that lets them focus on customers and not on management security all the time.

And in the wake of flashfloods plaguing the metropolis, every enterprise is given assurance that their precious data are safely stored and secured in a place they can easily get access to.

“We are not limited to products alone. As records show, our consumers grow and increase in numbers. We are the only vendor who can offer end-to-end solutions from storage, cloud computing to networking with a very strong portfolio for different requirements,” Bhatia added.
