New SEN country director set sights on SMEs

MANILA, Philippines - Siemens Enterprise Communications (SEN), jointly owned by the Gores Group and Siemens AG, through its managing director for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East Region, Anil Kumar Jain, announced a new leadership in the Philippines. Since the start of second quarter, Rex Charl de Vera has been leading SEN in the country to bring innovation and progress to the German enterprise communications provider.

“Rex started young as pre-sales engineer for the telecommunication group, and now at his mid-30s, he has already an extensive knowledge of the local market through his experience at SEN for over a decade” Jain said.

In fact, De Vera is considered as an expert in OpenScape Unified Communication Suite in the country.

In his recent years with the company, he has constantly grown and proven his expertise in the technical, project management, marketing and business administrative areas.

His significant contributions to the operations of SEN in the country cannot be overseen.

“We recently won new customers, both foreign and local companies, and our focus is to further gain market shares in the fast growing small to medium enterprise segment by positioning our award-winning HiPath and OpenScape Office solutions,” De Vera said.

And his personal ambition is to lead SEN to new growth through innovation. “SEN has the potentials to be at the top of a growing market here in the Philippines, specially for SME; after all, we built our Unified Communication not just for large companies and we are positioning it now,” he said.

De Vera holds a BSECE degree and is pursuing a Masters of Science in IT. He is a part-time Electronics Engineering instructor at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
