MANILA, Philippines - Lenovo, the world’s second largest PC maker, recently unveiled three new ThinkCentre M series desktop personal computers (PCs) boasting of security, performance and energy efficiency for both large enterprises and smaller businesses.
Based on IDC data, the Philippines recorded in the second quarter of 2011 the highest PC shipments so far with almost 465,000 units accounting for 190,000 desktops and 274,000 portables.
BPOs in the large and very large enterprise segment were responsible for the sequential growth of eight percent in overall commercial PC spending.

Lenovo continues to innovate with both All-in-ones and tower form factors to meet our customers’ needs particularly in the country. Built for enterprises, our latest ThinkCentre M Series desktops are equipped with features and tools that are stable, secure, reliable and easy to manage.”
Power-packed features
The latest ThinkCentre M series comes equipped with Enhanced Experience 2.0 Rapid Boot technology allowing a boot-up time of as little as 15 seconds.
Equipped with rapid DDR3 memory up to 16GB and hard drive storage of up to 1TB, the M series includes processor options such as second-generation Intel Core “i” processors up to i7 or the latest AMD technology.
ThinkCentre M71z
With its 20-inch display monitor, lightweight, sleek design, and a universal Vesa wall or desk arm mounting or an optional height adjustable stand for space considerations, the ThinkCentre M71z all-in-one business PC is ideal for the home office of budding businesses.
The space-saving ThinkCentre M71z takes less room on the desk with its wireless mouse and keyboard, but does more work quickly and efficiently with its productivity tools such as DVD burner, optional Wi-Fi, six USB ports, chassis intrusion switch which helps detect tampering, and DisplayPort for viewing digital video on a second monitor.
With the onset of online voice and video calls, the ThinkCentre M71z also features an optional 2.0-megapixel camera for clear visuals and a digital array microphone for crisp voice clarity.
The desktop’s optional touch screen allows for a more natural collaboration with clients and colleagues.
ThinkCentre M71e
Designed for large enterprises, the ThinkCentre M71e offers security, stability, manageability and speed.
With the ThinkCentre M71e, workers can rescue and restore files that are accidentally deleted or lost through system corruption with ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery.
Its Lenovo Password Manager feature, meanwhile, allows users to replace multiple passwords with one easy-to-remember password. Unnoticed intrusion or tampering in the PC can be detected with the chassis intrusion switch that acts like a siren, safeguarding sensitive data. External threats of corporate data theft can also be prevented with the ThinkCentre M71e’s USB input/output port disablement feature.
ThinkCentre M71e supports up to four individual monitors, perfect for employees who need to work with lots of visual information.
ThinkCentre M77
Available in either tower or small form factor, the ThinkCentre M77 desktop can be configured to meet the specific needs of end-users, with options of AMD Sempron, Athlon II, Phenom II or FX Series CPUs.
Additionally, to keep multi-taskers happy, the desktop comes equipped with SATA III which enables hard drive data transfer at up to twice the speed of SATA II.
The desktop’s optional AMD Radeon graphics bring visuals to life and via AMD Everfinity technology, its Quad Independent Display feature can support up to four screens at once, allowing business professionals to fully optimize their productivity.
This desktop also comes with additional features such as a DVD player and up to eight USB ports. The tool-less chassis of the M77 also enables easy access to components for upgrades, expansion and maintenance.
