D-Link tool brings 3G mobility to notebooks

D-Link International, one of the world’s leading suppliers of network products, has launched its first 3G Mobile ExpressCard DWM-652.

Forty percent smaller than PCMCIA cards and with support of the latest 3G High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) technology, the DWM-652 is made for mobility.

“3G technology was a technology initially made for mobile phones. Now, with our innovative and cutting-edge DWM-652 3G Mobile ExpressCard, consumers can also enjoy this high-speed connection on notebooks as well. Consumer just need to insert their SIM cards into the SIM slot on the DWM-652 and they are ready to go,” said Desmond Toh, marketing director of D-Link International Pte Ltd.

Featuring the latest 3G HSDPA technology, with improved data rates of up to 7.2M bps and backward compatible to 2.5G technology, the DWM-652 lets users enjoy a mobile broadband connection anywhere, without sacrificing their past investments.

The DWM-652 provides exception reception, thanks to its unique dual antenna technology. With a flip-up antenna at the end of the device and one antenna embedded in the body, the two work hand-in-hand to provide trustworthy mobile connection for signal transmission and reception.
