IP E-Games, one of the youngest local game publishers in the Philippines, has already acquired more than million registrants. RAN Online, its flagship title, is the fastest-growing MMORPG in the country with close to 1 million users and close to 25,000 concurrent users.
In addition to RAN Online, the company has also published certified hits like O2Jam, the world's number one music game, and Battle Position, an addicting real-time action game that eliminates tiresome turn-based gameplay. IP E-Games also hosts and maintains Dreamville, the only avatar-based online community portal that brings people closer together around the world.
A factor that fuels the trailblazing success of IP E-Games is its distinction of being the first mover in the free-to-play concept, as well as the portal concept that allows one user name and password to access the IP E-Games' entire lineup of games and its communities.
The games are accessed for free, but players are given the option to purchase in-game virtual items through its uniform currency, e-points.
"Our goal has always been to liberalize online gaming in the country," says IP E-Games CEO Enrique Gonzalez. "We want to free gamers from having to worry about running out of credits while they are playing the game. It's all about giving real freedom to the online gaming community."
E-points can be purchased through prepaid cards sold in 7,000 outlets throughout the country. Distribution channels would include internet cafés, selected Ministop and 7-Eleven stores, telco dealers, Tower Records and Music One branches and even sari-sari stores. As a result of IP E-Games' successful partnerships, its prepaid cards and pins are among the top sellers in the local prepaid industry.
IP E-Games, being one of the newest local game publishers in the country, has already conducted major eyeballs both in the metro and provincial areas; and numerous mall participations and campus tours.
"We have been continuously working on building online communities, and you'll see this in our games," says IP E-Games President Steve Tsao. "Being part of an online community has given our gamers a sense of belongingness, and this keeps them coming back. Our community's solidarity is what makes us number one."
IP E-Games has two new games scheduled for release at the end of September and during the first week of October. Audition Online Dance Battle is a casual dancing game that is taking the world by storm, and Supreme Destiny, a popular fantasy MMORPG.
