Ingenico promotes new mobile payment devices

Ingenico, a global provider of secure transactions, has brought one of its latest technology solutions to the Philippines – a mobile and advanced portable payment system.

Pay@Table, a new and secure way to improve customer service and save on costs, offers wireless electronic payment terminals which are brought to customers, allowing payment at the table itself. Customers thus maintain control of their credit or debit cards throughout the entire payment process.

Pay@Door, which targets services requiring outdoor mobile payments such as delivery services and taxi fare, also provides the same convenience and payment flexibility.

Through a partnership with Merchant Express and Globe Solutions, Ingenico will use GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) connectivity for its mobile POS (point of sale) terminals.

Ingenico hopes to encourage major restaurants, banks, merchants, delivery service providers and even taxi operators to embrace the electronic fund transfer/point of sale (EFTPOS) terminal technology.

Ingenico shipped more than 1.5 million terminals worldwide in 2004 alone. Over 10 million of its terminals are used in over 90 countries.
