Quick takes from around the market

VistaREIT [VREIT 2.50 pre-IPO] pricing is today, but I don’t expect to hear the results until tomorrow. Will the Villars give us “upside” like the Tans did with MREIT [MREIT 16.98 1.07%], or will they plow ahead at the maximum price? I’m expecting REIT valuations to come under pressure because of increasing rates, so I’m looking for a discount. Let’s see what happens.

Medilines Distributors [MEDIC 0.74 1.37%] [link] declared an annual dividend of P0.006168416/share, out of FY21 income, payable on June 28. Sick 0.8% yield, bro. (It’s 0.3% if you use MEDIC’s IPO price.)

AC Energy [ACEN 7.05 0.70%] [link] commenced operation of its 50 MW “one-hour” battery in Australia. ACEN's rebranded Australian subsidiary (now “ACEN Australia”) said that the battery could be scaled up to 200 MW depending on the needs of the region’s electricity grid. Glad to see ACEN developing this kind of know-how, but would like to know more about the economics of the deal (and the tech) before I get too excited from an investment perspective.
