PEP helps promote green tech

MANILA, Philippines - Premiere Entertainment Phils. Inc. (PEP), a publicly listed corporation engaged in information technology, entertainment, leisure and other businesses, recently signed a memorandum of understanding Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija to promote environmental protection and green technology.

PEP disclosed to the Philippine Stock Exchange the signing of the project involving the construction of an electric-powered vehicle plant and showroom in Cabanatuan.

The two parties will work together and collaborate to supply the needed 17,800 units of electric-powered vehicles, including patrol cars for barangay officials, tricycles for transport groups, jeepneys for the Nueva Ecija Transport Group, and agricultural machines and patrol cars for cooperatives and farmers’ groups.

PEP chairman and chief executive officer Jung Ku Lee welcomed the proposal of Cabanatuan City Mayor Alvin Vergara as a boost to the company’s expansion plans while helping the city on its waste management and anti-air pollution project and generating jobs.
