Nuvoland named one of Philippines’ top 10 developers

MANILA, Philippines - Fast-growing real estate company Nuvoland Philippines, Inc. was named one of the Philippines’ top 10 developers during the BCI Asia Top Ten Awards Ceremony held at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati last June 24, 2014.

The honor was given to Nuvoland in recognition of its sound development strategy and its adherence to green technology for its buildings, most notable of which are in Nuvo City—Nuvoland’s flagship, mixed-use development in Quezon City.

“Nuvoland is very honored to be recognized as one of the Philippines’ top developers. With our company’s commitment to creating innovative and top-quality lifespaces that help shape our customers’ lifestyles, being recognized for doing what we’re passionate about is just the icing on the cake,” said Nuvoland President & CEO Raul Martinez, who accepted the award.

Joining Nuvoland in the Top 10 Philippines Developers are Ayala Land, Inc., Century Properties Inc., DMCI Properties Group Inc., Federal Land, Inc., Filinvest Land, Inc., Megaworld Corporation, Robinsons Land Corporation, Rockwell Land Corporation, and SM Investments Corporation.

The awardees were chosen among developers that were shortlisted after a by-invitation only nomination process done by the BCI Research Group. Aside from the Philippines, the BCI Asia Awards is also held annually in these other Asian countries: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Sustainable Developments
“The BCI Asia Top 10 ranking of developers was conceived to provide an international overview of developers with most significant contribution towards sustainable architecture,” said Dr. Matthew Krups, BCI Founder & CEO.

On top of the project value, the Top 10 Awards committee also focused on sustainability. According to BCI Asia’s website, the weight of sustainability is established by their comprehensive project leads research and confirmed green building ratings awarded through World Green Building Council (WGBC)-accredited certifications.

For Nuvoland, it’s Nuvo Plaza—the company’s first office-retail project—that has been given the BERDE certification by the Philippine Green Building Council, the local counterpart of the WGBC. BERDE, or Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence, is the Philippines’ own green building rating system.

Aside from being green building-certified, Nuvo Plaza is also the first amenitized, PEZA-registered office tower in the Philippines. Nuvo Plaza will rise in Nuvo City along C-5 corner Calle Industria in Quezon City, which, when completed, will feature five residential buildings and three office-retail towers. Nuvo Plaza will be turned over by 2017. For more information, visit www.nuvoland.com.
