MANILA, Philippines - A twin-tower structure that combines elegance and modernity has opened its doors as the four-story commercial atrium Wil Tower Mall started offering high-end retail, dining and leisure choices to the public.
Occupying the first four floors of Wil Tower, a mixed-use condominium development owned by the Villar family, the mall is the first of its kind in Quezon City to be part and parcel of a condominium’s overall design.
Highlighting the atrium is the extraordinary chandelier creation made by Filipino furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue. The world-renowned designer, whose other creations made it into the home of Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, created the central masterpiece from hand-hammered steel, acrylic-cast butterflies and light-emitting diode (LED) system. Cobonpue’s unique work also jibes with Quezon City’s stature as an artistic hub.
With a total area of 14,000 square meters(sqm), the development houses upscale lifestyle brands and famous establishments such as Draft, Pho Hoa, My Thai Restaurant, Italianni’s, Bench Fix Salon, Fully Booked, Starbucks, Wil Bar and Restaurant and premium Apple products reseller, Beyond the Box.
On the other hand, while the mall has started operations Wil Tower itself is gearing up for the completion of the first tower by the end of 2014, with space provisions ranging from 25 sqm studio units to 65 sqm two-bedroom units. The project developer, Vista Residences, assured the public that the prices of the units are reasonable and fair.
“By December 2014, the units – in studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom configurations – will be available for turnover to investors and residents. We have made sure that even before they occupy their units, the mall is already operational to offer them a wide array of retail, dining and leisure experiences,†Vista Residences’ division head Elizabeth Kalaw said.
The 42-story twin-tower is designed by RTKL, a US-based architectural firm and one of the world’s top design firms, with Arch Haus Asia Consultants as its local counterpart. Wil Tower is envisioned to be an embodiment of imaginative sophistication combining modernity and elegance in a single high-class structure.
“Given the location, the design and the prestige of the project, we knew that our prospective investors and residents would have high expectations,†Kalaw said.
Located along Eugenio Lopez Drive, the twin-tower features a wide variety of entertainment and leisure options exclusive for its soon-to-be-owners. The comfort and relaxation the residents need will be laid right next to them as amenities such as a swimming pool, a fully-fitted gym, spa, jogging path, audio-video room, game room and a day-care center will be offered.
Wil Tower will also prioritize the security and safety of its homeowners as the condominium will make use of an “intelligent building technology†allowing computer networks to manage and operate building features such as the elevators, security cameras and fire and electric systems to ensure that the residents will be safe and sound.
“The residents don’t have to deal with a third-party when it comes to their concerns about their homes and the common areas. Since we are the one who built the development, we have a good understanding on how to readily and effectively address their issues,†said Kalaw.
Furthermore, Wil Tower boasts of its centralized location with different establishments nearby. The twin-tower is in close proximity to ABS-CBN and GMA Network, the country’s top broadcast firms. The Villar-owned building is also minutes away from select malls like Trinoma and SM North EDSA.
Moreover, it is also near hospitals such as St. Luke’s Medical Center and Capitol Medical Center, learning institutions like the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University and Miriam College, as well as cafes and fine-dining restaurants along Timog Avenue and Tomas Morato.
Vista Residences has helmed various projects and built residential towers in Makati, Bonifacio Global City, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City, among others. Vista Residences is under Vista Land and Lifescapes, the biggest home builder in the Philippines.
