MANILA, Philippines - A recent breakthrough in energy-efficient lighting technology called HyMOESTM-HGD has just arrived in the Philippines, as a timely response to the significant rise in electricity costs for commercial, industrial, as well as outdoor street lighting use.
First introduced in Taiwan in 2008 by EcoLumina Technologies, Inc. and now deployed in the US, Southeast Asia, Canada, Sweden, France and China, HyMOESTM-HGD lighting technology combines the use of commercially available High Gas Discharge (HGD) bulbs, with proprietary high-efficiency ballasts, optic designs and photometrics.
HyMOESTM-HGD lights have been found to consume up to 60 percent less electricity, as well as provide better illumination and performance compared to their commercially available counterparts such as high pressure sodium and mercury lamps.
Products using HyMOESTM-HGD technology have been observed to be brighter than conventional lights, with 150-watt units on HyMOESTM-HGD offering better illumination compared to similarly situated, standard 400watt HPS.
With highly efficient and high quality lighting, HyMOESTM-HGD also significantly reduces carbon emissions offering users eco-friendly “green” product choices.
Developed and patented by Taiwanese firm EcoLumina Technologies and distributed exclusively in the Philippines by Eco Lighting Solutions (a division of Strategiweb Inc), HyMOESTM-HGD lighting products are now available in the Philippines in three separate product lines:
Indoor ceiling bay lights (the Ecrown series), which are used in warehouses, factories, hypermarts.
Outdoor street lights (the Haiperion series), for streets, toll roads, parking lots, and sidewalks; and
Flood lights (the WuaLight series) which may be used on billboards, buildings, and property perimeters for increased security.
All EcoLumina products are certified by UL, CE, EMC, FCC and TISI; and are compliant with ROHAS standards. EcoLumina received the Light Fair Innovation award from 2010 to 2012, as well as the Taiwan Excellence Award this year, in recognition of its work on eco-friendly, cost-reducing lighting technology.
