MADE launches new competition rules for architecture and interior design

MANILA, Philippines - Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE) launched its architecture and interior design competitions by bringing fresh and exciting challenges for our young Filipino interior designers and architects. Both competitions are now conceptual design competitions aimed to contribute to defining Filipino architecture and interior design. MADE recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with partners the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) and Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID) as a symbol of renewed partnership looking forward to the continuation of this new endeavor.

In his welcome remarks, Nicanor L. Torres Jr., Executive Director of Metrobank Foundation said: “This collaboration with UAP and PIID served as a collective effort that has helped us in realizing our goal to make significant contributions in the promotion of Filipino sustainable design. We would like to acknowledge UAP and PIID’s contribution over the years in helping us implement the competition by providing us with the technical advice, design problem and in meticulously ensuring that the highest standards of integrity and credibility are maintained and protected from the information campaign, qualification of participants to the selection of our winners”.

Deadline of submission for the architecture and interior design competition is June 20, 2012.
