Manila, Philippines - Homeowners of DMCI Homes’ projects have proven once again that community life goes beyond the boundaries of their private walls. In an effort to promote goodwill and reach out to the less fortunate individuals living within their respective communities, a significant number of DMCI Homes’ residents have taken the initiative to promote activities that showcase a neighborly sense of involvement.
One of these projects is the recently-concluded Royal Palm Residences 1st Fun Run for a Cause held last May 29 at Acacia Estates, Taguig City .
The event, organized by the Sports Committee of the community, was set to establish rapport and camaraderie among Royal Palm residents. Over 100 homeowners, both kids and adults joined the 1-kilometer, 3-kilometer and 5-kilometer run categories.
“We wanted to bring together the community in one enjoyable event that will establish the sense of being part of a bigger group, at the same time awaken the fitness attitude of the homeowners,” said Roel Vincent G. Castro, Royal Palm Residences homeowner and event organizer.
Aside from being an extra-curricular activity, the event was also driven by a more noble cause – fund raised during the fun run will be used to help and support the public school students of Taguig where Royal Palm Residences is located, as well as support the Child House Project Foundation.
