MANILA, Philippines –  What makes ten years special? At ten, pigtails give way to cascading curls, fermented grapes become fine wine, surviving design earn the right to be called retro. At ten, there is a substantial past to look back to and the promise of a future to look forward to. At ten, Savannah grows bigger, better and stronger.

Celebrating ten years of partnership with the people of Iloilo in their bid to fulfill their dream of owning a home as well as a successful prominence in Iloilo’s real estate business, the grand bash carried the theme: Savannah 10 @ 2010: Bigger, Better and Stronger. It defined in three words the continued commitment to provide unparalleled housing development in the region.

The event began with a city-wide motorcade followed by a thanksgiving mass. A program was held immediately after, with tribal dance numbers to entertain the crowd. A beautifully-crafted photo mosaic was unveiled along with the opening of an exhibit by local artists. The day ended with the Savannah Night Bazaar, a Food Festival and some entertainment provided by top local bands and Backroom’s Laugh Out Loud comedians.

Indeed, time has flown by quickly and what began as a vision of a pioneering masterplanned community in the area has, in ten short years, grown into the grandest urban central in Western Visayas. Savannah, located across three barangays  Oton, Pavia and San Miguel  in Iloilo, has immediately emerged as the most sought after address of the region. It is a feather that it has continued to keep on its cap even after a decade has passed since its gates first opened, speaking volumes of the charm of the homes, the modern amenities, the elevated standard of living, and the sustained maintenance of the property.

Savannah’s sprawling 300-hectare development is inspired by the largest and most picturesque colonial city of the State of Georgia. Filled with the finest specimens of the architecture of the American South, this inspiration has been translated into the property’s four enclaves: Crest, Trails, Glades and Glen  each one offering a unique interpretation of the attractiveness and grandeur that characterize this opulent style of architecture but customizing it to suit the different lifestyles and varied needs of the diverse residents. There are also home choices for buyers looking for the most practical solution to owning a home with Lessandra  a townhome development of Camella which has been a prominent choice in areas where it was offered. Lessandra Heights in Iloilo opened during the last quarter of 2010. Also set to open are two new enclaves, namely Orchard and Pine Grove, which will continue the phenomenal growth of the massive development.
