Tagaytay Highlands holds West Coast expo

There’s simply no place like home.

That must have been the collective sentiment of the Filipino-Americans living in the United States. Many Filipinos have chosen to spend time abroad to earn a living but despite greener pastures outside the country, generally, Filipinos still yearn to come back home for good when they retire or have saved enough.

Serendipitously, Belle Corp., one of the acknowledged pioneers in the club shares market and club resort lifestyle development responsible for envisioning and developing Tagaytay Highlands, introduced an ideal place where Fil-Ams can spend their retirement days in the Philippines, and still make an excellent investment.

Belle Corp. was one of the select property developers that participated in the "Owning A Home in the Philippines Seminar and Developers Exposition" organized by LBC-USA in the West Coast of the United States.

The exposition turned out to be a marketing and sales success as a number of Fil-Ams have expressed interest in acquiring properties in Tagaytay Highlands. "We never expected such an overwhelming response from our countrymen abroad who wanted an ideal place for retirement back in our country aside from mere investment alone. They were looking for a palce to buy, back home," shares Belinda Herrera, Belle vice president for marketing.

So overwhelming was the response of the Fil-Am market that after the three-week expo, sales pitches of Team Tagaytay Highlands and individual home visits to the residences of prospective Fil-Am buyers in San Jose, Vallejo, Los Angeles and San Diego, the team registered P400 million worth in reservations and P60 million in actual sales.

The Fil-Am were smitten with the scenic and picturesque Tagaytay Highlands particularly Plantations Hills and The Parks at Saratoga Hills, the latest property developments within the Highlands’ approximately 1,300-hectare property that continguously spans the cities of Tagaytay, Tanuan, and Talisay.

"The results were very satisfying considering that it was only the first time that we made the Highlands and Belle Corp. physically present abroad. We initially thought that the sales of condominium units would have been more brisk because of the investment finance factor but the exposure of Highands to these Filipino-Americans made them think more of retirement rather than just investment alone," relates Tina Fernandez, sales head for Belle.

It only goes to show that while there seems to be better income opportunities for many Filipinos abroad, our fellow countrymen still think that the Philippines is still the best place where they can live out the happier days of their lives. "After working so hard for what can be described as a better quality of life abroad, they find the Highlands as the best retirement abode and a good place where they can put in their hard-earned savings," Fernandez explains.

While Tagaytay Highlands captured the interest of the Filipino-Americans as an ideal place for retirement, it remains a great place for a weekend getaway and relaxation. Avail of membership in any of the three clubs in Tagaytay Highlands and you will get to enjoy the club’s various high grade amenities as well as life’s simple pleasures such as sightseeing, hiking, sports, clean healthy mountain air, and spending quality time with your family.

Tagaytay Highlands is an exclusive membership recreation and residential golf community. The property’s opening in 1994 inspired the development of the club and resort lifestyle in the Philippines. It is only an hour and a half drive away from Metro Manila. Spanning approximately 1,300 hectares. The Highlands has been elegantly chiseled into the hills of scenic Tagaytay and bounced by the mystical Mount Makiling in the east; the serene beauty of Taal Volcano Lake in the south; and the mesmerizing view of Laguna de Bay in the west.
