Building neighborly ties at ALI project

Future neighbors at Ayala Hillside Estates in Quezon City gathered together recently at the scenic subdivision to celebrate Holy Mass, share a meal and know each other better. The event with a barrio fiesta theme and designed to lay the foundations for a strong community was organized by Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) broker Josephine Gaston who is herself a lot owner.

Ayala Hillside Estates clients were pleasantly surprised to see that the first home in the 23-hectare subdivision was already being constructed in Phase 1. The road network, lamp posts and other infrastructure have been completed in that area. For the convenience of homeowners, another access gate to the subdivision on Capitol Hills Drive has also been opened.

Following the strong demand for these properties located on part of the original site of the Capitol Hills golf fairways, plans are underway to make available to the public another tranche of Ayala Hillside Estate lots in Phase 3 by the third quarter of the year. Phase 3 will be the final phase of the subdivision.

According to ALI vice president Tristan dela Rosa, interest in the subdivision with views of the new and more compact Capitol Hills course is expected to remain high. "We cannot predict when another golf club within city limits will be willing to convert part of its property to residential lots… which was the case with Capitol Hills," he observed. In Metro Manila, golf course are among the few large tracts of land available for subdivision development. Most other properties suitable for residential subdivisions are outside city limits.

Ayala Hillside lot owners rode in golf carts to inspect the improvements in the subdivision and to better visualize the homes they intend to set up in the cozy community. The subdivision is a short drive away from Ateneo de Manila University, Miriam College and the University of the Philippines.
