Now paving the groundwork for the holding of the "National CBB Industry Forum" is the Department of Science and Technology-Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI).
FPRDI is calling on all cement-bonded board manufacturers and dealers, interested architects, engineers, and engineering students to participate in the three-day forum.
CBB is a panel product made of shredded wood wastes or agricultural residues (sugarcane bagasse, coconut coir) bonded with Portland cement. It is recognized as a cheap, durable alternative to hollow blocks and plywood.
Interested parties may contact engineers Maritess A. Pedron or Virgilio D. Daracan Jr., telephone/fax no. 049-536-7303, or e-mail fprdi@laguna.net. RAF
