MANILA, Philippines – PNP end-users in the municipalities of Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Central Visayas and other Philippine regions are all praises for the Mahindra Enforcer patrol units that they have received recently to equip their local police units with sturdy and reliable patrol vehicles to carry out their daily security, relief and rescue operations.
The vehicles are part of the more than 700 Mahindra Enforcer units that have already been delivered by CAC Mahindra, the official distributor of Mahindra vehicles in the country. CAC Mahindra expects to fully comply with its commitment to supply the PNP with 1,470 Enforcer units it won in a bidding process conducted last year.
PNP end-users in the Calabarzon area compliment the reliability and dependability of the Enforcer units. A local police officer in Alaminos, Laguna expressed surprise about the Enforcer’s toughness and reliability. “We conducted an operation that lasted for more than eight hours non-stop but the vehicle never complained,” he said. “This is exactly the type of unit we require for our operations” he added.
The same observation was echoed by police officers from Cavinti and Lumban. “Our terrain is mostly rugged and mountainous and we are amazed the Enforcer handles well,” they said. “Some of our remote barangays can be reached only through rugged roads and we find the Enforcer’s toughness well suited for that,” they added.
The PNP patrol jeep is a Mahindra Enforcer unit that has been reconfigured to adequately and satisfactorily meet the police agency’s requirement not just to help secure peace and order in the local communities, but also to support in disaster and relief operations. During floods, fire, earthquake or other natural calamities, the Enforcer can decently wade through high waters, navigate rough and treacherous terrain, and carry heavy loads of people and cargo. This is part of the daily routine local government vehicles are subjected to.
The Enforcer is currently the No. 1 light commercial vehicle in India. It is also the staple not only of the Indian military and security forces but also of other country’s military forces which have found in the Enforcer the toughness, ruggedness and dependability best suited to secure their borders and maintain homeland peace and order.
