MANILA, Philippines - “Today is the first day of a very long love story in Mindanao,†opened Peugeot CEO for Asian Operations, Gregoire Olivier during his speech at last Thursday’s grand opening of Peugeot Cagayan de Oro, the second Peugeot dealership to open in the Philippines this year, (immediately following the Las Pinas dealership grand opening just a day earlier), and the first ever in Mindanao. “The ladies in a relationship know that the most romantic is usually the first day, and similarly we at Peugeot feel the same way about today,†he explained. Eurobrands Distributor Inc. (EDI) is the official exclusive local importer and distributor of Peugeot in the Philippines.
The opening of the CDO dealership is a partial fulfillment of EDI’s promise to open at least 12 dealerships in the country this 2013—aiming for the grand opening of at least one dealership a month, alternating between Metro Manila and provincial locations. Slated to open later this year are Peugeot dealerships in Quirino Ave. in Manila, Cebu, Pasay, Batangas, Marikina, Cabanatuan, C-5 Pasig, Bacolod, North EDSA, and Davao City. All showroom launches will be headed by EDI Chairman Johnny Hernandez.
EDI promises to provide their customers with the full Peugeot ownership experience by assuring the public that all dealerships nationwide will be certified 3S: dealerships with full sales, service and after-sales facilities available. The CDO property is located along the beautiful vicinity of Mastersons Ave.; and keeping with the brand’s strict standards, the showroom exudes the company’s Blue Box Concept—Peugeot’s clean and classy, global look.
All four vehicle models that EDI brought to the Philippine market—the 508 executive sedan, the 3008 crossover, the 5008 compact MPV and the sexy RCZ sports car—will be made available in all Peugeot dealerships nationwide. Concurrently, the local Peugeot marketing team will be holding activities and events for the brand, at least once every month.
Furthermore, Olivier announced at the CDO showroom opening ceremonies their on-the-spot decision to set up a Peugeot Technological Center in CDO, which would train young and talented but less fortunate locals in automotive technical courses—provided that the skilled graduates eventually be absorbed into Peugeot service centers across the nation.
