Team Seaoil Extreme 97 on the Rise

MANILA, Philippines - There’s no rest for the Seaoil Extreme 97 – DarkSide Racing Team during the coming holiday season as the team is giddy with anticipation. Set to take on its biggest challenge at the next Philippine Production Car Championship (PPCC) races, drivers Jeff Borja and Diane Montecillo are once again taking the wheel and preparing to push the limits.

After a good showing at the last few races with 1st runner-up podium appearances and no reliability issues, it seems the goal is clear. “It’s time to start winning races again! After rigorously testing the racecars with Extreme 97 octane fuel and Denso sparkplugs combination on the Autotechnika Dynapak chassis dynamometer, we’re delighted with the horsepower gains. That, combined with our H&R, Bilstein and Ultra Racing Suspension tuning should prove to be a strong competitive package,” says Jeff, who took three pole positions and three wins last season in the PPCC.

Diane Montecillo, currently the sole female driver on the grid, also did well to finish 5th place in the Philippine Production Car Championship, in what was her first outing in wheel-to-wheel battle.

Both drivers appear hugely optimistic coming in to the next events and fancy their chances of competing at the sharp end of the intensely competitive field, composed of manufacturer teams, veteran teams and drivers, as both stated, “A lot of hard work and commitment has gone into this little operation, and many sacrifices have been made along the way. The only thing left to do now is drive the wheels off our cars and go for it. We owe that to ourselves and our supporters. Anything less would be a crime.”

Seaoil Extreme 97 – DarkSide Racing Team will be back in action on January 8-9 at the Clark International Speedway, and are backed by Denso Iridium Sparkplugs, 3M Automotive, H&R Springs, Bilstein, Dynapack dynamometers, Hooter’s Manila Bay, Ultra Racing, Mako Synthetic oil, Motech Service, Maxx Energie Ventures and A-TOY Bodykits.
