MANILA, Philippines - Foton Motor Philippines (FMP) moves fast in 2010 as it signs up its fourth dealership for the year, a total of 16 dealerships nationwide. Through a contract signing held last March 22 in Quezon City, FMP awarded the Tacloban Foton Dealership to Benedict Young. Young’s proposed dealership will be situated in a 2,600 square meter property in the heart of Tacloban City and will house a showroom, service center, parts warehouse, and other office facilities to cater to their customers’ needs.
“Tacloban City has very promising demand for commercial vehicles as requirements for hauling agricultural goods and public transport continue to grow. With the reliable quality and affordable prices of Foton products it will not be hard to market the brand in our territory. Given the strong support of all the major banks in the country to offer affordable financial packages to Foton customers, selling is much easier,” Young said.
Foton is currently the second largest commercial vehicle brand in the world but its international distributors are aggressively working to attain the top spot. According to FMP President, Rommel Sytin, “The steady growth of Foton in the Philippines can be attributed to the good reputation we have painstakingly built. We made a lot of investments to provide our customers with high quality products and excellent after-sales service. We are very privileged that Foton is given accreditation by all the major banks in the Philippines, which makes our products even more affordable and attests to our brand’s good reputation.”
