Toyota backs Auto Focus Gymkhana

Toyota Motor Philippines will provide its much-heralded Toyota Vios sub-compact automobile as the official single make/model for participants of the Auto Focus Gymkhana Precision Driving Competition at a designated on-site track during the 2008 “AUTO FOCUS MOTORSHOW & AUTO EXPO” forthcoming at Area 2, Bonifacio Global City on November 25 - December 1.

The Auto Focus Gymkhana is a non-racing competition to test a driver’s skill and safety awareness as he maneuvers through a defined course minding established traffic rules and safety standards along the way including how well he is able to park his vehicle within a defined slot. Points are awarded for successful maneuvers and adherence to rules and penalties imposed on violations and safety infractions.

The Auto Focus Gymkhana is a Special Event of the motorshow and is open to all those holding Philippine driver’s licenses and are 18 years old and above for a nominal entry fee of P500. Daily trial and elimination runs will be held with the top placers going to a final round on December 1, the last day of the motorshow. Pre-opening list-up and entry can be made by calling or visiting the Sunshine TV office at the Valle Verde Country Club (Tel. no. 633-4422 or 631-8822) and soon via the Auto Focus website at www.autofocus.com.ph. Attractive prices will be awarded to the winning driver and runners-up.

The Gymkhana is an appropriate event to complement the 2008 AUTO FOCUS MOTORSHOW & AUTO EXPO, which features one of the biggest and widest displays of 2008 models to ever be assembled in a single venue, there for the motoring public to see and test drive. Perhaps, joining the Gymkhana might be the best way to test drive a Toyota Vios!
