Another outstanding feat for Marco Polo Plaza Cebu
Reaffirming its place as one of the top hotels in Asia is the leading 5-star hotel in the Queen City of the South, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC), as it won the 2013 Hotel of the Year award, besting all other properties of the Marco Polo Hotels (MPH) group. The said award is given to the hotel that exemplifies excellence in guest service, operational standards, associate management and financial results, all of which were demonstrated by MPPC in the midst of last year’s challenging times. An awarding ceremony was held during the 2014 MPH General Managers Conference in Hong Kong where MPH president Eric Waldburger handed out the award to the indefatigable MPPC general manager and Marco Polo Hotels, Philippines area general manager Hans Hauri. It is the second time that the 5-star hotel was given this recognition, first in 2006, the same year that MPPC opened.
