Acer Philippines, Inc., the local unit of Acer, Inc., literally rocked the whole country as it recently launched its newest line of PCs, particularly those with thin frames, a new-look laptop, and a revolutionary multi-faceted desktop to the local media in each of the country’s three main islands.
For the Manila leg, the initial launch salvo kicked off aboard the M/V Spirit of Manila, a cruise ship that sails within the vicinity of world-famous Manila Bay, which served as the official launch venue for Acer’s new Timeline notebook with the one-inch-thick frame, another Aspire laptop with its brush-metal look, the Aspire 3935, and the multi-functional Acer Aspire Revo R3600 desktop, which is deemed to change the way people look at desktops in the future.
As soon as Manuel Wong, general manager of Acer Philippines Inc., was done in welcoming everybody to this event, product managers for the Acer Aspire Timeline 3810T and 4810T, the Acer Aspire 3935 with the brush-metal finish, and the Acer Aspire Revo R3600 desktop, buckled down to work. With the famous Manila Bay sunset as backdrop, they gave a glimpse of the capabilities of these outstanding computers to the media, who have well anticipated again what Acer is about to offer, given its track record of technological innovation that endeared them to the local market.
After the Manila launch, the Acer team then jetted off to two of the most important cities in the country down south: Cebu and Davao.
First stop was Cebu City, dubbed “Queen City of the South,” where the local media there saw first hand what the new Acer products had to offer to Cebuano computer enthusiasts. Holding the launch at the posh Marco Polo Hotel in Cebu City, the province’s finest hotel, Acer treated members of the media to the finest of the next generation of Acer computers that will take the nation by storm.
Without skipping a beat, the Acer team then headed to Davao City, a modern city in the Southern Philippines that is also called the “City in Bloom,” for the Davao leg of the Timeline and Revo launch. Venue for the launch was also at the Marco Polo Hotel, located right at the heart of the city’s commercial and business district. There, Acer also provided the Davao-based media what to expect from this latest batch of Acer computers that hopefully will capture the attention of lovers of computers in that beautiful city.
