International brand strat guru headed for RP to share trade 'secrets'

Whatever you do, don’t get too big. True or false? Companies say their brands stand for something, but do consumers agree? What lessons or “tricks of the trade” can we learn from the great brands of our time?

These are just a few of the many challenging questions that a world-renowned brand strategy guru will answer when he comes to the Philippines to share his trade “secrets” with the local tourism industry and the rest of the corporate community.

Popular for building iconic brands, international brand strategist Martin Roll will be in Manila for the 7th Philippine Incentive (Phil-Incentive) Marketing Conference slated at the Canyon Woods Tagaytay and Canyon Cove Nasugbu, Batangas on Nov. 27-30.

Roll tops the list of 24 experts who will speak at Phil-Incentive to guide local players on how to create their market niche, build brandworth and increase market share.

Roll delivers the combined value of an experienced international branding strategist and a senior advisor to corporate boards and top-management teams of Fortune 500 companies. He is the chief executive officer of Venture Republic, the leading strategic advisory firm on branding excellence, according to Tourism Undersecretary for Planning and Promotions Edu Jarque, the conference chair.

“Martin Roll also brings more than 15 years of management experience from the international advertising and branding industry,” Jarque said.

“By focusing on building iconic brands, Martin Roll helps boardrooms to enhance shareholder value and create sustainable competitive advantage,” remarked conference convenor Rosvi C. Gaetos of the Philippine Convention and Visitors Corporation (PCVC), the marketing arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT).

“The DOT, through the PCVC, is co-organizing the conference with the Movement of Incentive Travel Executives (MITE) to institutionalize their educational, developmental and networking goals, which they can achieve through some help from international experts like Martin Roll,” Gaetos explained.

Roll is the author of the international bestseller Asian Brand Strategy, a very compelling book of frameworks for Asian branding and the winning formula for any boardroom.

With the theme ‘I Innovate, You Travel, We Achieve’, the Phil-Incentive conference is open to all corporate executives, marketing practitioners, university professors and travel and tourism industry players, among many others.

Inquiries and registration can be made with the 7th Phil-Incentive Secretariat at the PCVC (tel. +632 5256110, 5216635, 5259318 to 27; fax +632 5216165, 5253314; or email cit@dotpcvc.gov.ph, phil.incentive@gmail.com).

Phil-Incentive offers participants 4days/3nights accommodations, meals, kits and conference materials, participation in all social functions and certificate of attendance, all for only P7,500 as registration fee.
