HSBC launches HSBCnet

The computers were there for the launch of HSBCnet, an internet banking service for corporate customers, but HSBC (Phils) chief executive officer Warner Manning and senior vice-president for corporate banking Andrew Tilke decided to give early birds (mostly finance directors and treasurers of the country’s top 500 companies) a little extra. They brought together Bangko Sentral Governor Rafael Buenaventura, SGV & Co. chairman David Balangue, and HSBC Asia-Pacific head of global payment and cash management Lawrence Webb to talk about the latest in cash management and e-banking.

As giveaways, the bank handed out the 2004 edition of "HSBC’s Guide to Cash and Treasury Management in Asia-Pacific."MJGrey
