The interest-free period is good for one year from the date the advance was processed. Among the areas covered are Region IV-A (Cardona, Rizal), Region IV-B (Palawan, Oriental Mindoro, and Occidental Mindoro), Region V (Albay,Catanduanes, Masbate, and Camarines Sur), Region VI (Capiz, Aklan, Antique, and Iloilo), Region VII (Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor), Region VIII (Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Northern Samar, and Southern Samar), and Region XIII (Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Sur, and Surigao del Norte). The policy holder’s address on record will be the basis in processing the advance; as such, those who were displaced by the typhoon may still avail of this offer. Earlier, Sun Life also extended the grace period for payments of renewal premiums; and, through its financial advisors, took steps to get in touch with clients who reside in devastated areas.
