Sun Life bags Anvil awards

MANILA, Philippines - Sun Life Financial-Philippines has bagged the Bronze Anvil trophy, one of only three Bronze awards given in the 48th Anvil Awards of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).

Sun Life’s Sun Shorts film anthology received an Award of Excellence as well as scoring the prestigious Bronze Anvil under the PR Tools division. The Bronze Anvil is conferred on a finalist that stood out among all Excellence Award recipients.

 Sun Life Financial (Philippines) president and chief executive officer Riza Mantaring said Sun Shorts is a novel approach to strengthening the insurer’s brand while helping its financial advisors reach out to more clients.

“This is an example of how insightful innovation makes good business sense,” Mantaring, who received the coveted trophy along with the Sun Life marketing team, said.

Made in collaboration with Unitel Productions Inc. and Star Magic, Sun Shorts featured inspiring stories to interpret Sun Life’s mission of delivering lifetime financial security.

The country’s first and longest-standing life insurer also won two Awards of Excellence for Sun Shorts, and an Award of Merit for its “Legacy of Light Village” CSR project.

Sun Life also received the Panata Awards as well as other global competitions such as Japan’s TBS DigiCon6 and the 56th New York Film Festivals for TV and Films (Finalist).
