Villarosa is new BAP president

MANILA, Philippines - The Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) has announced the election of Alberto S. Villarosa, current president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Security Bank Corp., as the new president for the period 2012-2013. The BAP executive committee for the period is composed of: Villarosa, president; Lorenzo V. Tan, first vice president; Sanjiv Vohra, second vice president; Antonio C. Moncupa Jr., secretary; and Enrico S. Cruz, treasurer. Cesar O. Virtusio serves as the executive director. Villarosa also assumes chairmanship of the BAP’s 15-member board together with elected directors, including: Ricardo A. Balbido Jr. president and CEO, Philippine Veterans Bank; Anthony Q. Chua, president, Allied Bank; Abraham T. Co., president, Asia United Bank; Enrico S. Cruz, managing director and chief country officer, Deutsche Bank; Peter S. Dee, president and CEO, China Bank; Francisco Del Rosario Jr., president and CEO, Development Bank of the Philippines; Mahendra Gursahani, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank; Moncupa, president and CEO, EastWest Bank; Antonio H. Ozaeta, president, Philtrust; Ichiro Tada, general manager, Mizuho Bank; Tan, president and CEO, Rizal Commercial And Banking Corp., Nestor V. Tan, president, Banco De Oro;  Arthur V. Ty, president, Metrobank; and Vohra, country officer, Citibank.
