Manulife Phils joins GK in Muntinlupa

MANILA, Philippines - The Manulife Philippines Group has signed a memorandum of agreement with the Gawad Kalinga (GK) Community Development Foundation Inc. in partnership with the local government of Muntinlupa City to help build a community for 124 underprivileged families. The project is in line with Manulife’s strong belief that by building self-reliant and sustainable Filipino communities, it improves the quality of life and secures a better future for the country it serves. Manulife employees will help build the 32.5 square meter, two-storey row houses starting this month. The project is a 3,118 square meter housing community at Soldiers’ Hills, Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City. Manulife will provide both volunteer and monetary assistance. “As a reliable community partner, Manulife is pleased to be able to help build homes for underprivileged Filipino families for their future,” Indren Naidoo, Manulife Philippines president and chief executive officer, said. Manulife Philippines, along with Manulife Chinabank Life Assurance Corp. and Manulife Business Processing Services, will each contribute volunteers.
