MANILA, Philippines - The Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines-Microenterprises Access to Banking Services (RBAP-MABS) is holding a workshop on the MABS Approach to housing microfinance (HMF) on March 23 to 25 at the RBAP Building, Intramuros, Manila.
Having successfully tested HMF in pilot banks for over a year now, RBAP-MABS is ready for the rollout phase following the issuance of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Circular 678 last Jan. 6, 2010. The circular outlines the rules and regulations for the approval and provision of housing microfinance.
RBAP, through the Rural Bankers’ Research and Development Foundation Inc. (RBRDFI), will also hold a seminar-workshop on corporate governance and risk management for directors of rural bank on April 8 and 9 at the RBAP head office in Intramuros.
