Infoserve’s Megabanker chosen as global finalist

Microsoft Corp. recently voted Infoserve International Inc. as the only finalist for Packaged Application of the Year in Asia and South Pacific Regions. Infoserve’s Megabanker suite of banking applications was selected from 775 entries submitted by solutions and services partners worldwide, which was determined based on excellence and innovation in customer solution delivery and service.

"The Microsoft Partner Awards allow Microsoft to reward excellence in emerging technologies," said Ian Rogoff, vice president of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Group. The Megabanker is a new generation, large scale banking solution designed for big commercial and universal banks. It harnesses the technologies of Microsoft and runs under Windows NT/2000 platform.

US-based Infoserve International is a high technology company with roots in the Philippines. With more than two decades of experience in software solutions, it developed the Megabanker in cooperation with foreign banking experts and was designed to integrate total bank operations. Its various modules include deposit, tellering, general ledger, telebanking, Internet banking, ATM switching, trust, and a comprehensive loans management and loans origination system. These systems can be installed individually or as an integrated solution for bank operations.

"Infoserve’s competitive edge is its price performance, having its research, development and support facilities in the Philippines," according to George Lissandrello, president and chief operating officer. "Our systems are far more flexible to customize to a bank’s operation compared to other foreign banking software," he added.
