“It will take at least a year to ramp it up and probably for full ramp up sometime within the second year. So at the end of two years it should be fully ramped up,” Enrique Razon said during Bloomberry’s annual stockholders’ meeting yesterday.

MANILA, Philippines — Bloomberry Resorts Corp. of tycoon Enrique Razon expects to fully ramp up in two years its upcoming $1 billion casino resort in Quezon City, which is expected to open on May 25.

“It will take at least a year to ramp it up and probably for full ramp up sometime within the second year. So at the end of two years it should be fully ramped up,” Razon said during Bloomberry’s annual stockholders’ meeting  yesterday.

Solaire Resort North is expected to solidify Solaire’s position as a leader in luxury entertainment, while offering an elevated resort experience to clientele in the metropolis’ northern areas.

Razon said Bloomberry is  running simulations to make sure that all aspects of the property—from interior finishes to gaming equipment and service—are at the highest levels of quality.

“We are focused on the 25th of May, which marks the launch and opening of Solaire Resort North,” Razon said.

“Solaire Resort North will introduce our signature five-star brand of gaming leisure entertainment to a broader market within the country and elevate the regional competitiveness of the Philippine gaming industry,” he said.

Razon said Bloomberry’s focus would be Solaire North first before starting on any new projects moving forward.

He said the additional funds generated by Solaire Resort North’s operations would bolster Bloomberry’s ability to pay its  principal obligations as they come due.

Solaire Resort North is a $1-billion investment spanning 1.3 hectares in Quezon City.

It is Bloomberry’s second integrated resort following Solaire Resort in Parañaque which opened more than a decade ago.

The project is a strategic expansion that aims to bring the signature Solaire brand closer to Metro Manila’s northern residents.

It features 526 guest rooms and suites, 2,669 electronic gaming machines and 163 tables across four casino levels.

“Putting Bloomberry far ahead of the competition, our trifecta of offerings—Solaire in Entertainment City, Solaire Resort North, and Solaire Online—places us in a very strong position to take advantage of increasing demand for gaming entertainment in the Philippines and within the Asia-Pacific region,” Razon said.
