MANILA, Philippines — AC Motors, the automotive arm of the Ayala Group, recently opened the largest dealership of Chinese electric vehicle firm BYD in Quezon City, as part of efforts to bring the brand closer to customers.
In a statement, AC Motors said it recently inaugurated the BYD Quezon Avenue dealership, in partnership with Solar Transport and Automotive Resources.
This is the first dealership to open under the stewardship of AC Motors, which was recently appointed by BYD as its official distributor in the Philippines, through its subsidiary Mobility Access Philippines Ventures Inc. (MAPVI).
The 4,000-square-meter BYD Quezon Avenue flagship has a large showroom which can showcase BYD’s pure EV line-up, including the BYD Dolphin (hatchback), BYD Han (sedan), and BYD Tang (SUV).
“The state-of-the-art facility also features an elevated customer lounge experience and dedicated new-car release area, and embodies a look and feel meant to communicate sustainable transport through a mix of green and contemporary design,” the company said.
AC Motors said the new BYD Quezon Avenue dealership – together with Solar Transport’s original facility, BYD Makati – are the first of at least 12 BYD dealerships planned over the next 12 months.
“This comprehensive BYD dealership roadmap is proof of AC Motors’ commitment to green technologies and confidence in the global powerhouse that is BYD,” AC Motors said.
