British Chamber attracts UK companies at roadshow

The British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines participates at a roadshow held in Chesterfield, United Kingdom to discuss opportunities in the Philippines.

The head of the British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines met with 80 companies based in the United Kingdom interested in doing business in the Philippines at a roadshow held by a regional business grouping.

Britain in Southeast Asia or BiSEA's 10-day tour in the UK provided a venue for Chris Nelson, chairperson of the British Chamber, to discuss business opportunities in the Philippines with firms from different industries, including food, beverage, energy, education and retail.

The UK companies are "keen on setting up a footprint in the Philippines," the chamber said in a statement.

BiSEA's aim is to facilitate the interests of the members of British chambers and business groups in the rapidly growing region.

The roadshow was held from October 9-20.
