Dear Sirs:
We were disturbed that my name was mentioned twice in Money-Go-Round on Aug. 17 and Aug. 21, 2015 respectively, in relation to Concorde building. It would be fair and just that the following facts be included in your narration of the status of said building. They are:
1. Concorde Office Building is already outside the commerce of man when the Bureau of Fire Protection permanently closed and condemned the building on Oct. 12, 20111; HLURB cancelled its Master Deed on Jan. 25, 2012; City Building Official revoked its building and occupancy permits on March 29, 2012; Register of Deeds Makati annotated the HLURB cancellation April 2, 2012 and BPLO issued cease and desist orders in 2013; 2014 and 2015 and cancelled their Mayor’s and business permits;
2. New PPI Corp. (formerly Pulp and Paper Inc.) which owns the titles, TCT-206284 and TCT-208874 respectively and tax declaration to the land and Concorde building since 1970 up to the present was ordered by City Building Official on Nov. 5, 2012 to fence the area with enclosures, canopies, nets and fences due to falling rocks coming from the upper floors of Concorde. The Concorde building is due for demolition.
3. After series of meeting with the Concorde’s lawyer and representatives with PBP-SOSIA in June 2014, New PPI was able to finally replace the security guards with their own guards on July 22, 2014 and continued to guard the vacant lot up to the present. New PPI also owns the title and tax declaration to the vacant lot and is not part of the Concorde as there is no Master Deed on this lot. Concorde has a separate basement parking lot and can accommodate 50 vehicles.
4. The main case filed by Concorde against new PPI Corp. for trespassing, grave coercion, etc. was dismissed by Judge Gutay of RTC 137 Makati in Aug. 22, 2014.
