MANILA, Philippines - Tycoon Enrique Razon Jr.’s Bloomberry Resorts Corp. is opening this weekend a new leisure complex at Solaire Resort and Casino in Entertainment City, a development seen to further boost the appeal of its $1.2-billion integrated resort.
Bloomberry said the new development, called Sky Tower, would be a “spacious and opulent” leisure complex consisting of new facilities for living in, gaming, dining and entertainment.
Specifically, Sky Tower will include a 312-all suite hotel, additional VIP gaming areas, an exclusive Chinese restaurant and whisky and cigar bar for VIP gamers, state-of-the-art meeting rooms, and a 1,760-seat lyrical theater.
“The thrill at Solaire continues with the opening of Sky Tower. Yet again, we’re on track and on spec with this opening – all in all only 617 days since Solaire’s inaugural in March 2013,” Razon, who chairs Bloomberry, said.
Bloomberry said Sky Tower’s 17-story five-star hotel would feature suites that range from 124 square meters to as large as 936 square meters.
The new gaming facilities at the hotel’s third level will include 10 spacious gaming salons with 66 VIP gaming tables and 223 slot machines.
Aside from the five-star hotel, the Sky Tower will also feature a 2,000-square meter meeting facility called The Forum.
Bloomberry said The Forum would be composed of eight meeting rooms, two boardrooms, a grand ballroom and a pre-function area.
“The Sky Tower elevates Solaire to another step higher into the very top tier of world-class integrated resorts, and is a tremendous game-changer in providing best in class guest experience,” said Thomas Arasi, Bloomberry president and chief operating officer.
Solaire Resort & Casino is the first property to open in Pagcor’s Entertainment City last year.
