Richwell Trading launches Richprime Global as distribution, mktg arm

MANILA, Philippines - After over 30 years of being in the distribution business of Good Year tires and later expanding to branded footwear, apparel, children’s products and licensing, Richwell Trading Corp. has now officially introduced Richprime Global Inc. (RGI) as the group’s distribution, marketing, retail and operating unit. Richwell Trading will handle industrial and tire products.

Under the guidance of its president and CEO, Myrna T. Yao, together with her daughters Liza Yao, managing director and Jane Yao, vice president, RGI has evolved into one of the country’s leading distributors of children’s products like Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, Vtech, Chicco, and other toy brands.

RGI is also involved in footwear and apparel business giving birth to Richprime Sales Inc. with the acquisition of Big & Small Retail Group which led to the further growth of the company.

While mainly as a distribution company, RGI is currently operating 24 stand-alone retail boutiques through different concepts. This includes Big & Small Co., Orange Juice, Spin, Chicco, Kids Depot and Ollie & Co. Today, it has 1,400 employees nationwide and has a distribution network of around 1,200 outlets nationwide from the department stores to direct selling companies.

RGI recently made several business investments to ensure efficiency across its different divisions and better cater to its growing market. The company started with the improvement of its management information system and business solution system, and later, with the establishment of its nine-story corporate headquarters in Quezon City’s central business district.
