MANILA, Philippines - The peso plunged against the greenback midday Wednesday, settling at 44.995 from the previous day's 44.875.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $524 million in the morning, higher than the $481.5 million posted the same period on Tuesday.
The peso opened Wednesday at 44.95.
