MANILA, Philippines - The certification course on Event Management in the Philippines is now on its second year. The second run of the Event Management Certification Course is happening on Sept. 24-26, at the AIM Conference Center, Makati City.
Event management experts and certified special event professionals from the US will conduct the certification course.
Alice Conway, director for events, Stratford University, a certified special events professional (CSEP), will share best practices on event planning, administration, and execution. This includes contracting, financing and budget planning, as well as, risk analysis and assessment.
Jeffrey Fox, event design expert, formerly of Ritz Carlton Hotel, and a certified special events professional (CSEP), will bring fresh design perspectives and standards to event design and decor.
Dr. Mina T. Gabor, former DOT Secretary, a pioneer in events and trade show management in the country, a founder of CITEM (Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, Inc.), will share her fearless forecast and what is next big thing in event management as the new normal.
The certification course will focus on event planning, administration, and execution, protocol, event design and decor, financing and budgeting, contracting and logistics and risk analysis and assessment.
By the end of the course, certified participants will be able to:
1. Understand the five phases of event management
2. Learn the creative process in events (i.e. themes, design, and decor)
3. Know the careful organization and management of logistics, including staging and technical production
4. Perform event risk assessment, risk analysis, incident and crises planning and prevention strategies
5. Learn the best practice in events protocol
6. Develop a sound financial plan for events
One of the course final requirements for certification will be an event design exercise.
