MANILA, Philippines - The peso dropped against the dollar midday Wednesday, settling at 43.916 from the previous day's 43.86.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $311.6 million in the morning, higher than the $280.9 million posted the same period on Tuesday.
The peso opened Wednesday at 43.93.
