MANILA, Philippines - Top mobile device maker Gionee Communication Equipment Ltd. Co. of China has rolled out ELIFE E7, the upgraded version of its flagship smart phone, to expand its market share in the Philippines’ smart phone segment.
Gionee officials said they have become even more bullish about the Philippine market, particularly after two cities in the country earned the distinction of “selfie capitals†of the world.
“We believe that the ELIFE E7 would be perfect for ‘selfie’ and smart phone aficionados in the country,†said Gionee Philippines country head Beally Lee.
Lee said the upgraded version of ELIFE E6, which was launched in October last year, are packed with more attractive features designed to make picture-taking easier and fun for ‘selfie’ enthusiasts.
The ELIFE E7, the “Made for Shooting†phone, features the world’s first 16 megapixel (MP) rear camera and 8 MP camera phone. It is the world’s first smart phone equipped with a professional image sensor for digital camera.
ELIFE E7’s professional camera sensor allows users to take razor sharp images without compromising the photo’s resolution or image quality. The phone is likewise equipped with the professional Largan M8 lens solution.
Gionee’s latest best in the high-end smart phone segment prides itself with its built-in charm camera app which allows users to beautify or spruce up their photos in a few clicks.
ELIFE E7 also sports a 5.5-inch full HD LTPS display, with 1920 x 1080 and 400 PPI. It is powered by the Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at 2.5 GHz and also has 2 GB of RAM for the 16 GB variant and 3 GB of RAM for the 32 GB variant.
Company officials said Filipinos can look forward to more Gionee smart phones which may be rolled out in the country before the end of year.
