MANILA, Philippines - The peso improved by 16.5 centavos against the dollar on Friday, closing at 43.65 from the previous day's 43.815.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $837.4 million, higher than the $813.4 million posted on Thursday.
The peso opened Friday at 43.65.
