MANILA, Philippines - The peso gained 45 centavos midday Friday after settling at 43.74 from the previous day's 44.19.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $503 million in the morning, higher than the $325.5 million posted the same period on Thursday.
The peso opened Friday at 43.9.
