MANILA, Philippines - As a follow-up to its recent successful ventures in Cebu and Bacolod, the strong pace of growth continues into 2014 for Philippine Seven Corp. (PSC) as the exclusive licensee of world-renowned convenience store chain brand 7-Eleven pushes through its planned expansion in Iloilo City.
According to PSC business development division manager Francis Medina, the company’s growth target for this year is to increase the presence of 7-Eleven in the Visayas region by opening up 60 to 90 outlets.
The first wave of store openings will be in Panay Island, in particular at the prime locations of General Luna Street, MH Del Pilar Street, Rizal Street, and La Paz Plaza. The company will also enter emerging markets such as Injap Tower and Uptown Place.
Apart from Iloilo, the company also sees great potential for expansion coming for them in Davao and its adjoining provinces, which they plan to pursue next year.
Last year, PSC has stepped up its franchise expansion in Central and Western Visayas, particularly in Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, Bacolod City, and Silay City, opening 35 stores spread across key commercial and residential locations.
