MANILA, Philippines - Listed sugar miller Roxas Holdings Inc. (RHI) yesterday announced key executive movements in its subsidiaries “to strengthen the group’s profitability and competitiveness.â€
In a statement, the company said Archimedes B. Amarra has been appointed president & chief operating officer (COO) of Central Azucarera de la Carlota, Inc. (CACI) in addition to his current position as RHI - EVP for marketing and trading.
Louie O. Villa-Abrille has been appointed president & COO of Roxol Bioenergy Corporation and concurrently as RHI acting head for operations with advisory oversight on the subsidiaries.
Armando B. Escobar has been designated as RHI - executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) in a concurrent capacity as CFO of parent firm Roxas and Company, Inc.
Juan Miguel J. Araneta has been installed as RHI - senior vice president for purchasing, logistics, quality assurance and special projects.
Felixberto Monasterio, RHI vice president for marketing & trading has been appointed in a concurrent capacity as head of corporate planning, stakeholder relations and corporate communications.
Thelma C. Rodriguez, assistant vice president for internal audit, has been promoted as vice president for internal audit.
Renato C. Valencia, RHI president & CEO becomes concurrent vice chairman & CEO of Central Azucarera Don Pedro, Inc., Central Azucarera de la Carlota, Inc. and Roxol Bioenergy Corp.
Roxas Holdings and its subsidiaries produce raw and refined sugar in different grades.
It has consolidated sugar manufacturing subsidiaries – Central Azucarera Don Pedro, Inc. (CADPI), Central Azucarera de La Carlota, Inc. (CACI) and bioethanol producer Roxol Bioenergy Corporation (Roxol). It also has a 45 percent stake in Hawaiian-Philippine Company (HPCo), another millingcompany in Negros Occidental.
