Bayantel arm focuses on areas outside MM

MANILA, Philippines - Lopez-owned Bayan Telecommunications Inc. through its corporate solutions arm Bayan Business sees a strong growth in data and managed services business on areas outside Metro Manila.

Patrick Gatchalian, head of Bayan Business, said in a statement that the company is entering into personalized partnership with businesses in the cities of Muntinlupa and Las Piñas as well as the provinces of Cavite and Laguna.

Gatchalian said Bayan Business is actively searching for new areas to increase interest from offshore and outsourcing, information and communication technology (ICT) as well as manufacturing companies from the Alabang Central Business District in Muntinlupa City down to industrial parks and manufacturing zones in Cavite and Laguna.

He added the ultimate goal of Bayan Business is to make a difference to its customers not by just force feeding its technologies but rather building relationships that understand the customers’ needs.

In recent years, urban development in Greater Metropolitan Manila has expanded rapidly towards the southern portion of Luzon, from Cavite towards Laguna, Batangas and further into Quezon.

The economic growth in these provinces was spurred by the establishments of so-called Next Wave cities which heavily demand efficient and affordable data storage and communications infrastructure.

Expansion programs of most locators in industrial parks and newly established business districts are perking up demand for primary and alternate telecommunications links.

To lure in new customers and also generate repeat business from existing clients, Bayan Business has rolled out three new use-on-demand, flexible products and services.
